Dilators help people who have experienced painful penetration or for post-surgery rehabilitation. Once you are comfortable with Step 1, you may progress to Step 2. The transition is made easier by the slight taper along the length of the dilator. All of the silicone is soft and flexible enough that moving to the next larger size should feel natural, not forced. The relatively short length allows the dilator to just pass the pelvic floor muscles, without going too far. This set is made of easy to clean silicone and works great with a water-based lubricant.
